An artistic interpretation of Ernest Mancoba's oil painting L’Ancêtre, symbolising Africa's history of oppression and resistance, complementing Mancoba's spiritual iconography. Mancoba expresses the need to preserve African heritage as a shared heritage of humanity, as does Joseph Ndlovu's Humanity, the very first work of the CCAC.
