Acquired by the Artworks Committee from Gallery 181 in 2004

This work was made for Justice Zak Yacoob, a blind man who served on the Constitutional Court bench from 1998–2013. The artist carved out textured hands to symbolise a sense of touch. Yacoob used the table for reading braille documents in the court’s garden.
