Barbed wire splits two migrating barn swallows, symbolising the millions of refugees who flee their homes each year, many by boat as suggested by the turbulent sea. Hön addresses xenophobia by the shot bird, mourning the great loss of lives. He advocates for the aid of the vulnerable who face hostility in unfamiliar territories.
