Donated by the artist

Anna, Lizzie and Maggie were domestic workers employed by the artist’s friends in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The artist wanted to honour those who were overlooked and marginalised on the basis of their skin colour, gender and class during the 1960s and 70s.
