Walter Oltmann (1960)
Copper wire, copper tubing and mirror / 2030 x 980 x 280 mm
Donated by the artist
The artist drew inspiration from a hat stand, and how it denotes arrivals and departures and mediates between public and private terrains. The work also alludes to an altar as a symbol of mediation between the secular and spiritual.
