Signage: | This artwork reflects on major state buildings as landmarks of political life. The Union Buildings’ twin wings signify the coming together of English and Afrikaans when South Africa became a union in 1910. The trees remind one of the Constitutional Court’s architectural design (2004) that serves as a more inclusive emblem of democracy. |
