Signage: | A guard tower of the Old Johannesburg Fort stands as a reminder of past atrocities. Brancon’s work, titled in Sepedi, and can loosely be translated to “We cannot forget the things (traumas) of the past, comments on how the apartheid past has left lasting wounds. The work’s melancholic colouring is painfully evocative of the crimes of hatred committed at this prison site that was reformed to house the Constitutional Court. |
