Signage: | Overcoming the historic withholding of information from citizens is symbolised by the dead snake on the newspaper’s sensational headline. The books signify that access to both public records, as well as those records held by non-state organisations and businesses has now been opened. Providing the right to access records held by private persons, if needed to assert or defend other rights, was a global first. |
