Shown here, a protest march through the streets of Durban organised by the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) during an AIDS conference. Access to generic drug therapy for people living with HIV/AIDS was demanded, and ultimately ordered by the Constitutional Court in 2002. The judgment in this case is estimated to have saved tens of thousands of lives.
