Mostly made from little doll’s shoes, the poignant and chilling work refers to the often-reported yet disproven claim that a child is raped every three minutes in South Africa. Nevertheless, the artwork highlights this country’s extreme levels of sexual harassment and gender-based violence against children, women, men, trans and genderqueer people on a daily basis.
