Signage: | According to the artist, this work's style was inspired by prehistoric art and contemporary artists such as A. R. Penck and Keith Haring. The idea of hiding and being pursued or persecuted relates to what was happening in apartheid South Africa in the 1980s, a period of turmoil as reflected by the graphic drawing. |
