Signage: | Chagall’s grandchildren donated these works out of respect for the human rights work done by the Constitutional Court. Regarding the work’s symbolism, Chagall thought of the Bible as a source of inspiration and poetry, and studied the biblical artworks of Rembrandt and El Greco, often using religious iconography in his art. |
