Signage: | This work portrays the biblical story of Adam and Eve who were banished from paradise. The Angel of Judgment is depicted top right, and the yellow hue represents the wrath with which it confronts both Adam and Eve. In Chagall’s surreal interpretation of the expulsion, humanity’s alleged beginning is captured. |
