| Signage: | This oil painting, created in 1999, powerfully reframes traditional religious iconography by depicting a Black Madonna cradling her infant child. Set against a vibrant, mosaic-like background of fragmented brushstrokes, the mother is enveloped in a brilliant golden halo and rich red drapery. The piece beautifully honors maternal love, dignity, and spiritual resilience. |
