Motobatsi’s work Moshoeshoe honours the king of the Basotho nation known for his leadership skills. During eras of conflicts and colonialism Moshoeshoe ensured people his loyalty, wisdom and to negotiate for peace. He is celebrated for negotiating peace, protecting his people against oppressors and this piece reflects the post apartheid era as it symbolises leadership that valued human dignity.
