Signage: | In this conceptual, ambiguous image, the artist depicts the newly gained freedom of expression as a disorientating experience. While we can now speak about the holes in our heart, our worries and concerns freely, this freedom may potentially result in either relief or pain. The disturbingly graphic image of the outstretched tongue being engraved, reminds that the freedom to receive and impart information can be painful and may cause more challenges. |
