A maquette of a larger work outside Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, where Nelson Mandela was arrested in 1962. The monument was unveiled in 2012, commemorating 50 years after Mandela's capture. The 50 steel columns form an image of Mandela when viewed from the front. The bars signify imprisonment but also unity in the fight against oppression.
