Signage: | Samuel Bak survived the Holocaust and Nazi labour camps. As a child in 1941, his family was forced to live in the Vilna Ghetto in Vilnius, Lithuania, a place where European Jews were deported to during World War II. Bak portrays his shattered hometown in yellow star insignia as a representation of the destruction of Jewish community. |
