Signage: | Instruments used in Sub-Saharan African music traditions are depicted, including calabash shakers and a mbira. Natural drawings on the instruments are also visible. Traditional African music is used for ceremonies of birth, naming, rites of passage, marriage and funerals, as well as in everyday cultural expression. |
