Mahlangu blended ancient mythology, African folklore, Ndebele patterns and Egyptian hieroglyphics to express spirituality, African heritage and human connection. He trained at the Katlehong Art Centre, he created poetic, semi-abstract paintings celebrating Ubuntu, music, rituals and hope, to offer a compassionate vision that challenged the harsh realities of apartheid through imagination.
