Sousa’s Print captures his expressive line, rhythmic patterning and a strong emphasis on surface. Drawing symbolic references from African visual traditions that are reconfigured within contemporary idioms. This work depicts male villagers fishing with baskets of fish before them, evoking the act of fishing and a shared daily life of villagers.
