| Signage: | Turtle is a batik textile produced by Ahinsha, an organisation based in Sri Lanka. The work forms part of a pair of textile pieces and shows a sea turtle surrounded by fish in an underwater scene. The artist uses the batik technique, where wax and dye are applied to cloth to create patterns and imagery. The turtle is placed at the centre, moving calmly through the water, suggesting a sense of balance, strength, and stillness. |
