Signage: | Gail Catlin’s fascination with cosmic elements can be seen through Woman. Here, the colour spectrums of the moon and the sun, along with planetary relief features, have come together in union, to visually resemble the shape of a woman. The artwork is a celebration of women's role as a universal nurturing force, and upholds their role in the constitution. The artwork's strength emanates not only from its abstract imagery, or dramatic chromatic effects, but also from its lively engagement with the viewer. |
