| Signage: | Illustrated is a young Zimbabwean Tonga girl smeared with red ochre on her nose for celebrations. According to Tyrrell, a strong thorn was used for the piercing, followed by fine twigs when healed. The nose plugs are removable, which wasn't always the case |
