Signage:

The young woman depicted wears a dress with a different style compared to where she lives in Mahlathini, KwaZulu-Natal. She and her family were forcefully moved to the so-called Zulu homeland. Her dress is from Estcourt, her hometown, the hairstyle, apron and beadwork is foreign, perhaps signalling her displacement.
