Invitation: Film premieres at the Court on 7 December 2024

On Saturday the 7th of December we will be hosting our last event for 2024 at the Constitutional Court. The Johannesburg premiere of the independently produced short film about the CCAC's formation and significance, Where Art Meets Justice (2024) directed by Mary Ann Braubach, will be presented at the Court following screenings in Kimberley and Durban as part of our travelling exhibition programming earlier this year.

For the first time, we will show the short conservation documentary Gaza: Lest We Forget (2024), produced by the CCAC curatorial team working with SummerTime Productions. In May 2024, the CCAC team, along with artist Prof. Pitika Ntuli and Dr. Isabelle McGinn accompanied by her MA students of the Tangible Heritage Conservation programme at the University of Pretoria, embarked on the intensive week-long restoration of Prof. Ntuli's sculpture Gaza: Lest We Forget (2015) installed in the public gallery of the Constitutional Court. Come see the documentary about this project and the unveiling of this poignant and timely artwork with Prof. Ntuli and Dr. McGinn and her students.
