| Artist information: | Getrude Itumeleng Mtshali is a Johannesburg-based artist from Thabazimbi, Limpopo. Mtshali has been drawing for over 15 years and has been featured in ColorBloc, a digital artistic platform that strives to provide artists with access to creative resources and opportunities. She holds a higher certificate in Architectural Technology from Inscape that she obtained in 2021. She chose to pursue her artistic interests by enrolling in a degree that was more relevant to what she wanted to do, and in 2024, she was a third-year Bachelor of Art in Fine Arts student at the University of the Witwatersrand. Mtshali is one of the winners of the 2024 CCAC Student Competition.
