The right to have one’s dignity respected and protected belongs to everyone. The artist chose to depict a group of people whose dignity is often not respected in society: workers, women, people living in poverty, or with disabilities. The prominent mother-and-child image in the centre reminds us that respect for one’s dignity should start from birth.
