Micky Patel Cartoon Print 3 (1988) depicts Mahatma Gandhi walking, with the caption below his feet written "If I had march to live again, I'd march for Nelson Mandela". Patel through his work showed support to the campaign to release Nelson Mandela from imprisonment, creating 10 posters donated to Indian office of the exile African National Congress.

Twenty three years later, he produced a hundred more posters which he donated to the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory which this work becomes part of.
