The work depicts Cecily Sash’s appreciation of African forms. Her conscious appropriation of African sculptural traditions can be seen in her art. In this work, through a semi-abstract engagement of farm imagery and the serenity of country life. The ordinariness of everyday rural living is celebrated and remembered.
