Signage: | Nkosi is known for his work grounded in Black consciousness in response to life under apartheid in KwaMashu and Soweto, two townships in South Africa. This abstract work depicting two faces, one with eyes gazing down and the other a profile, resists a defined reading yet ennobles the Black body in the face of oppression. |
