Artist information: | Radebe is a Johannesburg-based artist who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Witwatersrand in 2006. He later pursued a PGDA in Arts and Cultural Management at the same institution. Radebe’s work makes use of isiZulu material culture as a tool used to relate to the physical and spiritual world. He has participated in various group exhibitions and art fairs, including the Spier Light Art Festival (2022), the Cape Town International Art Fair (2022), and the Cubicle Series at Everard Read Gallery (2018) in Cape Town. Radebe has also held a solo exhibition titled A Walk in the City (2014), which was held at the National School of the Arts. In 2019, he collaborated on painting the largest mural in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the Louis Botha Road for the Johannesburg Road Agency, facilitated by the Trinity Session. In 2021, the artist produced a life-size bronze sculpture commissioned by Rand Mutual Assurance for their Johannesburg offices.
