Signage: | Through his intervention on the Nils Anderson print, which portrays the South African landscape as vacant, the artist seeks to locate his Zulu cultural identity, that predated the painting, in a space where it was erased. Commenting on homeland incorporation and forced removals, the artist re-imagines ways in which Black people exist and participate in historical records. |
