Carpets: Judges’ Meeting Area, Committee Room, Conference Room and Lounge

Custom-designed carpets produced for a series of shared judicial and administrative spaces within the Constitutional Court, including the Judges’ Meeting Area, Committee Room, Conference Room, and Lounge. Designed by Siphiwe Zulu and realised in collaboration with Sculptured Rugs, the works translate the artist’s visual language into hand-tufted textile forms.

Through abstracted pattern, texture, and colour, the carpets contribute to the atmosphere of these spaces, supporting both formal deliberation and informal interaction. As integrated design elements, they reinforce the balance between aesthetic expression and spatial function within the Court’s interior environment.
