Resistance Reconstruction Reconciliation: Celebrating Ten Years of Democracy portfolio

This portfolio was produced in 2004 in collaboration between the MTN SA Foundation and the Artist Proof Studios, facilitated by one of the curators of the RRR exhibition, Bongi Mautloa-Dhlomo. Featuring the works of twelve renowned South African artists, these pieces chartered our 10 years of freedom from 1994 – 2004, reflecting and celebrating our diversity, while exploring the transformation that took place in the country, at that time, highlighting the challenges we were going to face.

This edition of the RRR portfolio was presented to Justice Albie Sachs as a gift in gratitude of delivering the keynote address at the MTN Foundation’s Schools Art Awards, which took place at MTN’s Head Offices in Fairlands on the 5th December 2005. Justice Sachs was most grateful for the gift and promptly declared, upon receiving it, that he would donate the portfolio to the Constitutional Court Art Collection.
